Asnawi Mangkualam Will Have New Rivals, Dutch Player Says He’s Interested in Defending for the Indonesian National Team

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Asnawi Mangkualam will have a new rival, because a player of Dutch-Indonesian descent, Yael Liesdek, recently admitted he was interested in playing for the Indonesian national team.

As is known, a player from the second caste club in the Dutch League, SC Telstar, namely Yael Liesdek, admitted that he was ready to strengthen the Indonesian national team.

For information, Yael Liesdek usually plays as a right and left fullback.

He has Indonesian blood from his grandfather who came from Central Maluku.

“But I’ve thought about that.”

“If I get an invitation to play for the Indonesian National Team, I will say yes.”

“I think it’s good to be able to play in a beautiful country (Indonesia),” said the 22 year old player.

Furthermore, Yael Liesdek admitted that he had spoken to PSSI about his plans to become an Indonesian citizen (WNI).
