Panama/Last November the Panamanian Basketball Federation announced to the Argentine coach Gonzalo Garcia as the new driver of the sleeveless sele.
Fepaba officially announced the date of coach García’s arrival on its social networks, on Thursday, January 4, he will arrive in Panama and the next day he will be holding a press conference for the media in the City of Knowledge and its convention center.

He was at the head of the Club Regatas Do Flamengo, Brazil 2011 – 2013 / Club San Lorenzo de Almagro in the Argentine League 2017 – 2019 / Club Boca Juniors in the Argentine League 2020 – 2023.

Panama will compete in the FIBA Americup Basketball Qualifier during next year and part of 2025, with an already established schedule.
The Panamanian representation was within the Group B along with Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay. This as a result of a drawing held on August 9 of this year in the city of Miami, Florida (United States).
In the month of February, the Panama team will have its first matches, on February 23 against Uruguay in Montevideo and on February 26 again against Uruguay at the Roberto Durán Arena at the Irving Saladino Sports City.
Fepaba also announced the new physical trainer of the national team and it is also Argentine Manuel Guillermo Álvarez.
