Ankaragücü: Ex-club boss Faruk Koca released from custody on bail

The former president of the MKE Ankaragücü football club, Faruk Koca, has been released from custody on bail after his attack on a referee. As the Turkish state news agency Anadolu reports, Koca now has to report regularly to the authorities.

Koca is expected to stand trial for his attack on January 9, 2024. He is accused of injuring a public official, threatening a public official and violating a law intended to prevent violence in sports. Koca and two other suspects were arrested the day after the attack.
