Alexander Zverev is packing his bags before December 24th.

As is well known, tennis players don’t have an easy time over the Christmas holidays. The shadows of the start of the annual season in Australia are already large. And so many professionals spend the actually contemplative days on the plane or pack their bags and then travel shortly after the holidays.

Alexander Zverev will be making his first trip of the new tennis season on Christmas Eve this year. The 26-year-old revealed this at a fundraising gala, meaning he still has a few days to get used to the time change. Zverev and the German team will kick off the United Cup against Italy in Sydney on December 30th. Two days later, Italy is waiting on New Year’s Day.

Zverev started the season this year after his injury break with two defeats in the United Cup. At the Australian Open, after a five-set match against the Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas, he was eliminated in the second round against Michal Mmoh.
