Alcañiz City Council Commemorates 75th Anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights

The Alcañiz City Council is holding an event this Sunday, December 10, to remember the importance of Human Rights on the 75th anniversary of its Universal Declaration. It will be in Plaza España, at 1:00 p.m.

All the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights will be read and lollipops with several of its articles printed on their packaging will be distributed to the girls and boys; They will also be distributed, in collaboration with the Parish of Alcañiz, to the little ones who go to Sunday mass in Santa María La Mayor.

In addition, to liven up the Human Rights evening, there will be a performance by the BattuXanga group in the Plaza de España itself, at 1:15 p.m., and a ham cutter in the Lonja.

Along with the events of December 10, the Alcañiz City Council will remember the importance of constantly respecting Human Rights, which is why on the same Sunday it will inaugurate, in the Lonja Gótica, an exhibition on the 30 articles of the UDHR.

This exhibition, made up of various panels, will be traveling through various emblematic points of Alcañiz with great visibility, so that children and adults can see it permanently.

After the Lonja, this First Exhibition of the Alcañiz City Council on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights will travel to all Primary and Secondary schools, to various headquarters of associations, entities and institutions and to municipal spaces such as the Youth Center, the Municipal Library of the Ardid Palace, the Municipal Sports Service or the Río Guadalope Adult Education Center.
