Adel Mechaal pulverizes in Ibiza the chrono with a new record and repeat triumph for the second consecutive year at the Cursa Patrimoni Eivissa

Adel Mechaal has done it again. The Spanish record holder has won with brilliance this Saturday for the second consecutive year in the Cursa Patrimoni Eivissa 2023 and has once again shattered the record of the 10 kilometer test with an impressive time, lowering his previous record by 10 seconds, setting the best time of the race at a historic mark of 28:43 minutes.

The second position in the race was awarded to Yago Rojo (29:06 minutes), while Tariku Novales (29:29 minutes) was third in the men’s category.

In the women’s competition, Lidia Campo, with a time of 33:52 minutes, has taken victory for the first time in the Ibizan event and with this success has removed the thorn that was stuck on the island after having been second in the 2022 edition of the Cursa Patrimoni Eivissa. Laura Luengo came in second place after her (34:32 minutes), while Andrea Romero from Formentera qualified in third place with a time of 34:38 ​​minutes.

The Cursa Patrimoni Eivissa 2023, organized by CA Pitiús and the Ibiza City Council, has closed the competition this year with a total of 224 finishers. Previously, several races with prominence for the different lower categories were also held.
