Things are going better and better for our basketball world champion Daniel Theis (31) at his new NBA club Los Angeles Clippers.
After former superstar Shaquille O’Neil (51) made fun of Theis on his “Highlight” show earlier this week, Theis hit back on Wednesday evening.

In his Clippers’ 120:111 win against the Dallas Mavericks, Theis scored eleven strong points in just under 16 minutes. For LA it was the ninth win in a row; no team in the league is currently undefeated for longer. In the Western Conference, the Clippers’ success overtook the former club of basketball legend Dirk Nowitzki (45).
Theis scored nine of his eleven points in the first half. His three-point rate was perfect: he took two throws, both went in. A rather unusual throw for a center.

Theis was able to take revenge on O’Neill with his strong performance. After the German’s slip-up in the game against Portland, the former Lakers superstar blasphemed: “Ohhh, it’s almost Christmas, the time of giving. He gave his opponent an easy basket.” Followed by a graphic montage in which Theis was caught in a scene from the film “Home Alone” and slides down a slippery basement staircase.

By the way, with two three-pointers in one game, Theis has hit twice as many three-pointers as O’Neill did in his entire NBA career. Out of a total of 22 attempts, only one found the target…

On the other hand, the results of the other German world champions were disappointing: Franz and Moritz Wagner lost the third game in a row with the Orlando Magic: against the Miami Heat they scored 106:115. Franz Wagner had 15 points, his brother Moritz had 11 points.
World champion captain Dennis Schröder lost with his Toronto Raptors against defending champion Denver Nuggets 104:113. Schröder only scored seven points (seven assists)
