Saturday December 9 and Sunday December 10, 2023 will take place at the Orion hall in Montval-sur-Loir (Sarthe) the 2nd edition of the national badminton tournament “Montbad sur Loir #2”. The tournament is organized by the Montval-sur-Loir badminton club “Les fous du vol”.
A national badminton tournament
Saturday will take place the men’s and women’s singles as well as the mixed doubles. Sunday, men’s and women’s doubles. The competitions will start at 8 a.m. and end around 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 6 p.m. on Sunday.
We can already say that it is a sporting success. We had announced a maximum capacity of 150 players, but we have nearly 190 registered. During the last edition, 100 players registered. The club has gained notoriety.

190 players registered from 32 different clubs spread over 8 departments: Sarthe, Indre-et-Loire, Maine-et-Loire, Eure-et-Loir, Ille-et-Vilaine, Orne, Loir-et- Cher and Hauts-de-Seine. 20 players from the Montval-sur-Loir club will participate in the tournament.
Refreshment bar and catering
Entrance is free for visitors and spectators. A catering/refreshment area will be available continuously throughout the tournament.
“I would like to thank the town hall for making the gymnasium available, all the club volunteers as well as our sponsors. Without them, we would not have been able to organize this tournament or ensure the sustainability of the club,” concludes Charles Hubert.
