2023 Postgraduate Academic Activity Month Concludes with Exciting Teacher-Student Badminton Competition

From December 11th to 15th, Hebei Normal University’s 2023 Postgraduate Academic Activity Month “Badminton” You Fight Side by Side – Postgraduate Teacher-Student Badminton Competition was held. Fu Jianjun, member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee and Vice President, attended the opening and closing ceremonies and presented awards to the winning teachers and students. This event is sponsored by the Graduate Affairs Department of the Party Committee and the Graduate School, and hosted by the School of Physical Education.

After fierce competition, Liu Xigang/Lu Ziqiu from the School of Life Sciences and Liang Yanqing/Wang Shiyuan from the School of Geographical Sciences won the championship and runner-up in the men’s doubles respectively; Cui Yue/Sun Yu from the School of Teacher Education and Ning Yanyan/Wang Jiaqi from the School of Teacher Education won the championship in the women’s doubles respectively. Runner-up; Xu Jiawei/Hu Gengyuan from the School of Physical Education and Wang Kang/Wu Rui from the Teacher Education School won the championship and runner-up respectively in the mixed doubles event. Yang Chunming/Hou Xufeng of the School of Computer and Cyberspace Security, Mu Lingmin/Sun Huimiao of the School of Journalism and Communication, and Hu Wei/Liu Xin of the School of Journalism and Communication won third place in the men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles respectively.

The postgraduate teacher-student badminton competition is a doubles format, with three events: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. Each team is composed of a teacher (graduate tutor or graduate education manager) and a graduate student. This event received positive response from teachers and students, with 127 competition teams and 254 teachers and students actively signing up to participate. On the field, teachers and students worked together and worked hard, demonstrating the hard-working and progressive spirit of our school’s tutors, graduate management workers and graduate students.

This postgraduate teacher-student badminton match is part of the 2023 Postgraduate Academic Activity Month series of Hebei Normal University. The theme of this year’s academic activity month is: cultivating innovative and top-notch talents with comprehensive development of moral, intellectual, physical, artistic and labor development.
