15 Finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024

Darren Woodsonchampion of three editions of the Super Bowl with the Cowboysy Rodney Harrisontwo-time winner with the Patriotsstood out this Wednesday among the 15 finalists who will enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024.

Darren Woodson, 54, is a former safety who stood out in the Dallas defense, which he helped succeed in the versions XXVII, XXVIII y XXX del Super Bowl.

Woodson played his 13 years of career, between 1992 and 2004, for the Lone Star team. He was selected to the Pro Bowl five times. He retired as leader in tackles for a deep defensive player in team history with 1,350.

Another of the favorites to immortalize his name in the Hall of Fame is that of the also deep Rodney Harrisonchampion with the Pats in the editions 38 and 39 del Super Bowl.

Harrison, 51, began his career in the NFL with Chargerswhere he was until 2022. He played with the Pats from 2003 to 2008.

Another of the most notable names among the finalists is that of the former defensive end and linebacker Julius Peppersa legend who spent most of his career in the Carolina Pantherswith whom he was in two periods: 2002-2009 and 2017-2018.

Peppers, 43, named Defensive Rookie in 2002was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and named to the 2000 and 2010 NFL All-Decade Teams.

He is one of four players in league history to record 10 seasons with more than 10 quarterback sacks. He was also part of the Chicago Bears from 2010 to 2013, and the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2016.

They complete the list of finalists Eric Allenformer cornerback for the Eagles, Saints, and Raiders; Jared Allenwho played defensive end for the Chiefs, Vikings, Bears and Panthers; Willie Andersonformer Bengals and Ravens offensive tackle.

Jahri Evansformer Saints and Packers guard; Dwight Freeney, who was a defensive end for the Colts, Chargers, Cardinals, Falcons, Seahawks and Lions; former Chargers tight end Antonio Gates; Devin Hesterwho was a punt returner for the Bears, Falcons and Ravens.

The former recipients Torry HoltRams y Jaguars; Andre JohnsonTexans, Colts y Titans; y Reggie Wayne, Colts. Fred Taylor, former Jaguars and Patriots running back; and Patrick Willis, former 49ers linebacker.

Los five chosen to enter the Hall of Famelocated in Canton, Ohio, will be announced on February 8th.
