Today, Sunday, November 19, the XII Local Sports Meeting “Los Delfines” with the classic archery test. There have been two weekends marked by sport where athletics, weight, long jump and petanque tests have been held in the Sports City.
Today it was the turn of the archery shooters who, with a great participation, gathered at the facilities of the Virgen de las Viñas Public School at 11:00 a.m. to demonstrate their skill and precision in this sport. The Don Quijote Archers Club has been attentive, correcting some of the positions to make a good shot at the target and teaching all the preparation and mechanics of this sport. Members of the Special Swimmers Club “Los Delfines” and the councilors of the Government team, Inés Losa and Elena Villahermosa, were present at the event.
The Meeting is part of the Campaign for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities “Unstoppable”, organized by the Tomelloso City Council, through the Social Services area and the associations and entities that work in the town in this area, such as, in this case, the “Los Delfines” Club. The campaign, which started on October 31, will continue throughout the month of November and much of December with a multitude of sporting, educational and awareness-raising activities, such as talks, races, this sporting event, actions in schools and institutes, cinema, exhibitions or theater, among others.
