Wout van Aert’s Return to Cyclocross: The Complete Schedule

The time has come on December 9: Wout van Aert will return to the field in Essen. It will be his first of eight (or a maximum of ten) cyclocross races this winter. And even for Van Aert, it always takes some getting used to when he completes cyclo-cross training for the first time in a long time.

“Annual wake-up call,” followed by a meaningful emoji: that’s what Wout van Aert called his bike ride this afternoon on Strava. By “wake-up call” our compatriot is referring to his first cyclocross training of this winter, as is also evident from the loops in the forest that can be seen on Strava along with his cycled route. In case anyone still has doubts: the three-time world champion in the field shared that he completed the training on the Cervélo R5-CX, the cyclocross bike that Van Aert has received from Cervélo.
