Group C in the U-17 World Cup is considered to be fiercely competitive. However, Brazil and England are predicted to advance from that group.
The 2023 U-17 World Cup takes place in Indonesia. This event starts from November 10 to December 2.
So, in Group C there are Brazil, England, Iran and New Caledonia. National football observer, Mohamad Kusnaeni, predicts that Brazil will emerge as the leader of the group.

The reason is, Brazil holds the status as defending champion of the U-17 World Cup. Not only that, the Samba Team is also strengthened by talented young talents such as Kaua Elias and Rayan, who contributed greatly to helping Brazil win the 2023 CONMEBOL Sudamericano U-17.
“Brazil is the defending champion and its players are always good,” said Kusnaeni or who is familiarly called Bung Kus when contacted by journalists.
As for England, according to Kusnaeni, currently they do not have a special composition of players compared to the squad that won the 2017 U-17 World Cup. At that time, England was filled with talented players such as Phil Foden, Jadon Sancho, Conor Gallagher, and Emile Smith Rowe, who now plays for top Premier League clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
“Even though the current players are not as good as when they won the 2017 World Cup, materially they are evenly matched. England has the opportunity to accompany Brazil,” said Kusnaeni.
“The U-17 World Cup competition is very fierce because the level is world level. So I think anything can happen in this tournament,” he said.
