Utah Jazz, Will Hardy explains the defensive choices

The Utah Jazz fall to Indiana, there are multiple explanations for a substantially negative performance.

Before the game, the Jazz announced the absence of starting center Walker Kessler: at least two weeks due to a left elbow injury.

To compensate, coach Will Hardy opted for a three-guard lineup, giving two — rookie Keyonte George and Ochai Agbaji — their first starting lineup of the season.

Keyonte George had seven points and nine assists, things didn’t go as Hardy expected.

“I thought we started the game well, always helping our teammate with marking the ball,” Hardy commented after Indiana made 13 3-pointers. “Then, as the game went on, I thought the threat of the three-point shot was impacting the game too much and I asked to get closer to the man. At that point the Pacers started to go for it.”
