The four-time senior national player Karim Adeyemi has decided not to be nominated for the German U21 at his own request. DFB coach Antonio Di Salvo announced this in a press conference. The reason: Adeyemi’s goals at Borussia Dortmund.

Germany’s U21 national striker Youssoufa Moukoko has defended his recently criticized Dortmund teammate Karim Adeyemi. “You just have to accept that he didn’t come because he wants to work hard in Dortmund,” Moukoko said of the 21-year-old after the 3-1 win against Poland.
