In the context of the negotiations being carried out by the State of Israel, there would be 50 hostages who could be released as of Friday. From the Israeli side they assure that the truce could last longer than the initial four days, as long as they release at least 10 hostages per day. That could be the beginning of the end of this armed battle if both parties comply with what was agreed.

Faced with what is happening in the Gaza Strip, Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero received the ambassadors of the member countries of the Arab League accredited in the country. “Argentina positively values and looks forward to the agreement announced for a truce for a few days and thus create the conditions to release the hostages,” he noted.
Also, he thanked “Qatar and Egypt for their constructive efforts and mediation to reach this result” and recalled that our country made “numerous calls for the urgent release of all the hostages kidnapped by Hamas, among whom are Argentines” and repudiated violence in the Middle East.
