Tragic End: Marwan Berreni Confirmed Dead at 34

It is confirmed, the body found last week in Beaujolais (Rhône) is that of Marwan Berreni. The “Plus belle la vie” actor was 34 years old.

“The genetic analyzes carried out have (…) confirmed with great certainty that it was the body of Marwan Berreni“, indicated the prosecutor of Villefranche-sur-Saône, Laetitia Francart.

According to the first results of the autopsy, the man who played lawyer Abdel Fedela in the France 3 soap opera killed himself by hanging.

The end of several months of mystery

The facts worthy of a dark intrigue of “Plus belle la vie” date back to the beginning of August, whena 37-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle in Mâcon, near a nightclub. While the victim suffered multiple fractures, the car that had just hit her had ran away.

Since the accident, Marwan Berreni had not given any sign of life. An investigation for disturbing disappearance had been opened and the actor was suspected of being the driver of the vehicle.

Two days later, a car was found by investigators about fifteen kilometers from the accident site. This car had been identified as belonging to the 34-year-old actor.

It was only on October 12 that the investigation experienced a new twist, after the discovery of the body of a hanged mansince identified as that of Marwan Berreni.

A shower of tributes

While the soap opera, which said goodbye at the end of 2022 on France 3, will be reborn on TF1it will therefore be without the character of Abdel Fedela, very popular with viewers since his first scene in 2009. Since the announcement of his death, his playing partners, who have become friends, have returned to him moving tributes on social networks.

For its part, the production company of the series declared that “Marwan occupied a very important place within the ‘Plus belle la vie’ family, through his beautiful energy and his professionalism on film sets, always listening and caring“.

For the moment, we do not yet know if the soap opera will pay tribute to him when the first episode is broadcast on TF1 in 2024. The “Plus belle la vie” family has already been bereaved by the death of Michel Cordesthe interpreter of the famous Roland Marci.
