This cat breaks a world record with its purr

”Even when she watches TV, she likes to be loud. My late husband always complained that his purring drowned out the sound of the television in the evening,” his owner, Nicole, told the Guinness Book.

A very special test was even carried out to check the power of Bella’s purr. The 14-year-old cat was led into a room full of microphones after being fed. This is where the Guinness Book was able to attest to the 54.6 decibels!

The absolute purring record, however, is still held by two deceased British cats, Somey and Merlin, with 67.8 decibels.
