Who are the Houston Rockets, in this crazy start to the season, it’s difficult to say. The record says 6-6, perfect balance between victories and defeats, but the trend has been – so far – anything but balanced: 3 defeats to start the season, then 6 victories in a row, now another 3 consecutive knockouts. While waiting to understand something more about Ime Udoka’s team, there is one certainty in Texas: the impressive growth of Alperen Sengun. The Turk is not only the best scorer of his team (close to 21 points per evening) and career highs in almost every statistical category (points, field goal percentage, three point percentage, assists): what is exciting Rockets fans it’s Sengun’s impact on the team. Any numbers? With him on the pitch the Rockets have so far scored 67 points more than their opponents, with him out the figure drops to -32.
