TF1’s Tribute to the Late Michel Cordes in More Beautiful Life

This Tuesday, October 17, Djinda Sow, the new columnist of Pascale de La Tour du Pin, revealed in PAFthat the series More beautiful life was going to pay a beautiful tribute to Michel Cordes, alias Roland Marci, the eternal manager of the bar Le Mistral, in the legendary soap opera, soon to be broadcast on TF1.

A little flashback. Last Friday, May 5, the Free Midday learned of the death of Michel Cordes, aged 77. The actor was found dead “by firearm”, by the police at his home in Grabels, in Hérault. The actor, who performed for 18 years the boss of the Mistral, Roland Marciin the flagship series of France 3, would have committed suicide, as we learned The Parisian, a few days after the terrible announcement. In her house, investigators had found several letters, not far from his remains. “Lately, he was less talkative. When I met him, he no longer held a conversation. And about a month ago, he said that he was not in good spirits. That with his partner, he had separated and that she mattered much more than anything”, had confided one of his neighbors to our colleagues, who learned that the actor had recently separated from his last partner. This news had the effect of a shock wave for his former colleagues at More beautiful life. I have to say that Michel Cordes was one of the pillars of the seriessince he was present on the screen since the very first episode of the France 3 soap opera, launched on August 30, 2004.

The planned tribute to Michel Cordes by TF1

Series More beautiful life will therefore indeed have the right to a return on TF1. If the first channel does not yet know on which time slot, it will broadcast the return of the legendary France Télévisions soap opera, we already know that the series will not be filmed in Marseille, but in Allauch. And inevitably, who says change of scenery, says new Mistral. This legendary bar, managed by Roland Marci, played by Michel Cordes, will therefore undergo a huge facelift. On the set of PAFpresented by Pascale de La Tour Du Pin, Djinda Sow, former columnist for Sam Zirah, announced that the TF1 series would “pay a little homage to Michel Cordes, who died a few months ago”. And it’s not the only one “wink” that the production will deliver since, as Isabelle Morini-Bosc pointed out, the scenarios were recently changed due to the death of Marwan Berreni. “It was planned that he would have a really big, very important role and all that has been changed”she added. This return will be charged with emotion.
