Tennis Player Jessica Pegula Advances to Semifinals at Tournament of Champions Without Losing a Set

Tennis player Jessica Pegula won the third match in the basic group of Bacalar at the Tournament of Champions and advanced to the semifinals without losing a set.

The fifth-seeded American, who was already certain of the first place in the table, defeated Maria Sakkariová 6:3, 6:2. The Greek, who only got to Mexico as a replacement for the injured Karolína Muchová, on the other hand lost the third match and won only one set.

Another program in Cancun was disrupted by rain. The second match of the group, in which the second seed between Aryna Sabalenkova of Belarus and Jelena Rybakinova of Kazakhstan will be decided in a straight fight, was interrupted at the end of the second set.
