KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee football remained in the top 25 of the College Football Playoff rankings at No. 21 on Tuesday night with one game remaining in the regular season.

The Volunteers (7-4, 3-4 SEC) are vying for a third straight season of .500 or better in SEC play under head coach Josh Heupel. UT is seeking to achieve that feat for the first time since doing it 16 consecutive seasons from 1989-2004.

Three of Tennessee’s four losses have come against teams in the current top 10 of the rankings, including No. 1 Georgia, No. 8 Alabama and No. 9 Missouri. The Vols, who are No. 25 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 23 in the AFCA Coaches poll, have been ranked in 10 consecutive CFP rankings dating back to last season.

Tennessee will honor its seniors in a pregame ceremony prior to the Vols’ finale versus Vanderbilt (2-9, 0-7) in Neyland Stadium. Saturday is the annual Salute to Service contest, which honors our nation’s service members, veterans and their families. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network. Limited tickets remain on sale at AllVols.com.
