Lucknow: The stage is set for the Syed Modi India International International Badminton Championship HSBC World Tour Super 300 which will kick off on November 28 at the Babu Banarasi Das Badminton Academy in Gomtinagar.Organized by UP Badminton Association under the aegis of Badminton Association of India (BAI), total prize money of US $ 2,10,000 (Rs 1,80,000) will be distributed among players. UPBA chairman Viraj Sagar Das and president Navneet Sehgal said qualifying matches would be played on November 28. Spectators will be given free entry in this tournament.UPBA secretary Sudharma Singh said the tournament would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Coimbatore school badminton coach arrested for asking girl to send her nude photos to him
The Coimbatore Central all-woman police arrested D Arun Brun, a badminton coach in a private school, for soliciting nude photographs from a 17-year-old girl student. The coach, identified as 28-year-old Arun from Sowripalayam, had been working at a school on Avinashi Road for six months. After the girl reported the incident to her parents, a complaint was filed with the police, resulting in the coach’s arrest. The school management terminated the coach’s employment. It has also been discovered that the coach attempted to solicit pictures from five other girls.
