Surabaya City DPRD Encourages Companies to Provide CSR for U-17 World Cup Tickets

Commission A of the Surabaya City DPRD encourages companies to distribute corporate social responsibility (CSR) to help residents buy tickets to watch the U-17 World Cup at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), which will take place starting November 10.

“We received information that the tickets sold by FIFA for the U-17 World Cup are expensive,” said Arif Fathoni, Chair of Commission A for Government Affairs of the Surabaya DPRD in his statement, Thursday (2/11/2023) as reported Between.

Therefore, he asked sub-district heads whose areas have industrial areas to encourage business actors to distribute CSR in the form of purchasing tickets to watch the U-17 World Cup, to residents who have not been economically fortunate.

This, he said, was done so that Surabaya residents would not lose the opportunity and chance to watch the U-17 World Cup live at the GBT Stadium.

“This is also part of contributing to helping residents who are economically disadvantaged in purchasing tickets,” he said.

Apart from that, he hopes that all offices in the local city government will put up attributes to brighten up the U-17 World Cup, which will take place from 10 November to 2 December.

“We hope that sub-district and sub-district offices in Surabaya will also install attributes to celebrate the U-17 World Cup,” he said.
