The Sept-Îles Judo Academy saw three of its young people take their place on the podium this weekend at the Quebec Open. This second selection competition of the season for the Nationals was held in Montreal.
It is the girls who attract the honors of this big learning weekend for the judokas of the Sept-Îles and Port-Cartier competition teams.
Septiliennes Sara-Anne Beaudin (U18, under 63 kg), Leyia Chiasson (U16, under 57 kg) and Laurianne Rodgers (U14, under 44 kg) each won a bronze medal.
Let us also highlight the results of Alexandre Tanguay, fourth among the Veterans, minus 73 kg, and Manny Bernatchez, fifth among the U14s, minus 35 kg.
Judokas from Côte-Nord clubs will meet in Baie-Comeau on November 25 for a regional competition.
