Success for Friedberg Judo Club at Graz Tournament

At the judo school tournament in Graz in mid-November, the fighters from the Friedberg judo club were quite successful.

FRIEDBERG/GRAZ. 15 judo clubs were represented at this year’s student tournament, which the ASKÖ Judo Club Graz organized in Graz in mid-November. A total of 157 participants measured their strengths against each other in the sporting competition on the mat and tried to defeat their opponents with targeted throws, sweeps and holds. As usual, to ensure a fair fight, they were divided into different age groups and weight classes according to gender.

Successes for judokas from the Friedberg-Pinggau judo club

There was also a representative and five representatives of the ASVÖ Friedberg-Pinggau judo club. As the only club in the district (there are also ASVÖ Grafendorf and TSV Hartberg Judo), the kids still represented the “judo district” excellently. Benjamin Schreiner, Felix Stelzer and Jonas Peinthor were able to secure three first places, and Johannes Dinbauer also achieved third place. This time it wasn’t quite enough for Lorenz Kager and Katharina Dinbauer, both of whom came in fifth place. Coach Christian Wagner, who trained the young judokas in Friedberg together with other trainers and also accompanied them to the tournament, was very satisfied with the success of his protégés.
