In ground combat mode
On November 5, the Madrid Judo Championship was held in the form of ground combat (newaza), in the children’s, cadet, junior and absolute categories, and the competitors from the Sakura Judo Club of Torrejón de Ardoz played a role outstanding, achieving a total of six medals, two gold, one silver and three bronze.
The two gold medals were achieved by Carolina Caro Namyasenko, in children’s -52 kilos, and María Alonso López, also in children’s, but this time in -48 kilos. The silver medal was won by Sandra Manso Fernández, in cadet -52 kilos.
On the other hand, the three bronze medals were won by Manar Nadi Hmamcha, in the children’s category -44 kilos, Omar Elshami Ahmed, in the absolute category -73 kilos, and Ramón Sierra Holtz, also in the absolute category -81 kilos.
