Success and Struggles at the Regional Judo Championship

Two students from the Couserans Dojo, Egor Moskaliov and Théo Ribeiro, were traveling for the regional championship of Judo color belts at the house of martial arts in Toulouse. More than 600 boys and girls fighters from the cadet category were gathered. Egor Moskaliov and Théo Ribeiro fought in the same weight category, under 60kg. Egor Moskaliov, already participating last season, achieved a great performance.

Performance to match

He finished first in the elimination pools by eliminating all his opponents by ippon before the end of regulation time. In the table he eliminated his opponents by ippon until the quarter-final. In the semi-final Egor lost with a wazari at the end of regulation time. Drafted, he finished third in his category. Egor Moskaliov therefore won the bronze medal and all his points towards obtaining the first dan black belt. As for Théo Ribeiro, he did not manage to get out of the groups during the elimination phases. For his first experience in this new age category, Théo took the measure of the change. The cadet category brings together three different ages: 14, 15 and 16 years old. The first year is often very difficult because the youngest of 14 years old who are in the midst of morphological change must face their elders of 15 and 16 years old. This pivotal year will require an effort of patience and perseverance from Théo so that he can quickly regain balance in his sporting performance. The Dojo du Couserans congratulates Théo and encourages him in his sporting approach. Congratulations to Egor Moskaliov for his performance. Congratulations to his two young fighters for all the efforts they are making.
