BVB with the winning team from 2-0 against Newcastle. Sports director Kehl at Sky: “We have enough weapons. I’m confident that the team knows what they have to do in the league. I’m really excited about this game and want to go into the international break with a win.” No way!

The black and yellow horror halftime. It’s embarrassing how defense chief Hummels (28th out with back problems) and his national team colleagues Süle and Schlotterbeck (all BILD grade 6) stumble from one embarrassment to the next. Without goalkeeper King Kobel it should have been 1:5 at the break.

Incredible: For the first time in ten (!) years, a Dortmund goalkeeper saves a penalty (at that time Weidenfeller against Schalke’s Boateng).
For Kobel, it was his first saved penalty in the BVB jersey in the ninth attempt.
It is inexplicable how BVB can present itself so disastrously after the Newcastle success. It’s almost a joke that this black and yellow team is rewarded with the opening goal by Füllkrug (36th).
Also inexplicable is coach Terzic’s dance on the razor blade with Adeyemi, who is in extreme danger of being sent off (46th comes Reus). The winger only survived the first half with the goodwill of referee Stieler (Hamburg).
After two bankruptcies (Hoffenheim and Heidenheim), Stuttgart starts without super striker Guirassy (14 goals in eight Bundesliga games), who sat on the bench until the 67th minute during the comeback. Just 16 minutes after his substitution, Guirassy became the match winner as a joker, converting an ice-cold penalty to make it 2-1 (83′). Undav previously scored to make it 1-1 (42nd).
Stuttgart’s penalty madness: Führich’s missed shot (11th) was the third missed penalty in a row at that point. Previously, Silas in Heidenheim and Undav lost against Hoffenheim.
Goalgetter Guirassy, however, converted all six of his penalties.
