Sturm Graz has extended the contracts of two key players in midfield early. According to the runner-up on Monday, the Slovenian Jon Gorenc-Stankovic signed a new contract until June 2027, while Austria’s international Alexander Prass tied himself to Graz until 2026. Both have so far played over 100 competitive games for coach Christian Ilzer’s team.

Sturm’s sports director Andreas Schicker was “happy and proud” to have reached an agreement with the two regular employees. In particular, Prass, who was brought in from Red Bull Salzburg in July 2021, has repeatedly been linked with a transfer to a top league in recent months. Gorenc-Stankovic had moved to Graz a year earlier and is now vice-captain of the team.
