Is Lewandowski actually moving to the USA?
Lewy himself admitted in the summer that the idea of playing there was already in his head before Barça got in touch. “Before the coronavirus pandemic, the MLS idea was firmly in my head,” he said at the time. However, he added: “But somehow I changed my mind. After the chapter in Barcelona, it’s hard to imagine.”
What is certain is that clubs from Saudi Arabia were also interested in the striker. Abha Club is said to have already tempted the attacker with a dizzying offer of 150 million euros per year. But Lewandowski rejected the mega offer at the time. As Spanish media are now reporting, the interest of the desert clubs is still there and everything points to a new attempt in the winter.
