Spanish Badminton Player Clara Azurmendi Eliminated in Chinese Badminton Masters Debut

The Spanish Clara Azurmendi was eliminated this Tuesday in her debut at the Chinese Badminton Masters, in the city of Shenzhen, losing 21-16 and 21-13 against the eighth seed, the local Han Yue.

Azurmendi stayed in the match until 15-15 in the first game, when Han chained together a series of successes that gave him the set.

The second set was clearly dominated by the Asian, who had margins of more than five points that she knew how to manage until she took victory.

Carolina Marín, also present in the Shenzhen team, will debut this Wednesday against the Vietnamese Thuy Linh Nguyen.
