Sharks beat Águilas in the Universitario

Tiburones de La Guaira deployed a 13-hit offensive and defeated Águilas del Zulia 12-2 at the Universitario Stadium.

La Guaira scored 10 runs in the first four innings to lead the way to victory against the raptors. From the mound, Miguel Peña (1-0) took the victory by pitching five innings, allowing six hits and one run.

Leonardo Reginatto commanded the coastal offense by going 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and one run scored.

Ronald Acuña Jr contributed to the victory by connecting a double and a triple in five at-bats, scoring twice and driving in a run, while Alcides Escobar went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs scored.

The defeated pitcher was Raúl Rangel (0-1), allowing three runs in one and two-thirds innings of work.

The Sharks get their fourth win in a row to level their record at 14-14, the same record that the Águilas have.
