At the start of this press briefing, which is so important in my political career, I would like to express to you my esteem and my pleasure at seeing you among us this evening. Your presence is of capital importance and please understand through my voice that without you nothing will be done in this country.

This country that we all share: Senegal is at a crossroads to recover from its wounds in the face of numerous environmental changes, in the face of the global geopolitical context which has finished affecting all the great powers, which undoubtedly affects deeply our nation, very young compared to the rest of the world but also large in terms of its democracy and its human resources and which is at the heart of North / South cooperation given its strategic geographical position.

The time has come, as the Mandinka jargon says “Wato Sita” to reunify all the forces and to add up the energies that can participate in the development of Senegal without any political consideration, a union based on the sole motivation of continuing to push the limits of development for the happiness of our dear compatriots and I will not be left behind in history.

My name is El hadji Mouhamed Lamine Seydi, I am a former President of the student association of the faculty of letters and human sciences, former President of the student association of Kolda l’Aseprok, current agent of the Center of Works Academics from Dakar, Head of the Administrative and Financial Department of the social campuses of the Ecole Supérieur Polytechnique located at UCAD and the Ecole Normale Supérieur d’Enseignement Technique et Professionnel, member of the office of the Cadre du Coud association, local elected official of the commune of Kolda following the local elections of January 2022.

My journey was first in the union before moving into politics in 2019 with the creation of the “Wato Sita” Movement of which I had the honor and privilege of being designated national coordinator. I would like to thank its valiant members of the “Wato Sita” Movement, particularly the young people and women who work tirelessly for the networking and propagation of our ideologies which are based on dignity, work and respect.

Respect is indeed non-negotiable in all our relationships. Obviously you will be surprised to hear me tell you that I have now turned my back on Mr Elhadji Mamadou Diao known as Mame Boye Diao, candidate for the presidential elections of February 2024 of which I was the general secretary. As the architect of Mame Boye Diao’s candidacy, I was delighted to be at the origin of the gestation of her candidacy and I do not regret having moved heaven and earth to carry her political project. We committed ourselves unconditionally. The only condition is a moral duty which consists of considering ourselves at our true value.

Alas God decided otherwise, and I thank him for giving me his time as a big brother and wish him good luck in his prospects.

Among other facts which precipitated our departure, by embarking on this project we expected a general vision which takes into account the issues for the management of the problems of the Senegalese but contrary to our commitment we encountered with desolation on the lack of a precise program as well as a very limited approach from Mame Boye Diao who could not convince us in terms of approach coupled with a folkloric-based amateurism. Our recent promotion as Secretary General of the Diao 2024 coalition has not altered our desire to engage in an inclusive and constructive program and not on fun activities.

Dear guests, I cannot end this press briefing without telling you that the Wato Sita Movement, after major consultations with the grassroots, was able to unanimously note that Prime Minister Amadou Ba , also coalition candidate Benno Bokk Yakkar is the man for the job. The esteem of the Senegalese towards Mr Amadou Ba is visible to all and does not suffer from any anomalies. Very respectful and courteous in his relationships, the man is grateful, available and aware of the issues for national reconciliation and the continuity of our country which is now at cruising speed for emergence.

I am accompanied by regional and departmental delegates and those from the municipalities who are also not left out in joining us.

Allow me to name them and say thank you for the trust in our modest person and their membership in this new dynamic:

Mr Adama Adus Fall regional delegate of Dakar

Mr Aliou Fall, regional delegate of Kaolack

Mr Mamadou Ba regional delegate of Kaffrine.

Mr Cheikh Gueye regional delegate of Thies.

Mrs. Mareme Sall departmental delegate of Koungheul

Mr Babacar Diallo, head of the Diao 2024 coalition in Greater Dakar

Mr Elhadji Mory Fall municipal delegate of the Medina

Mr Babacar Thiaré municipal delegate of Yeumbeul Nord and youth leader of Keur Massar.

Mr Amadou Biram Diallo, head of the Diao 2024 coalition in Greater Dakar.

These delegates and I left with our physical sponsorships and the USB stick that contains the digital file. Any use of these sponsorships by Mame Boye Diao is organized fraud. And we will ensure that the law protects the data of these voters who trusted us and who, today, have chosen to follow us to support the candidacy of Prime Minister Amadou BA.

The many achievements of his Excellency Mr. President of the Republic Macky Sall, strengthen us and truly let us believe that it is possible with Amadou Ba.

Our region of origin, Kolda needs its sons animated in good faith to come to the aid of the populations. President Macky Sall, by appointing Mr Abdourahmane Baldé known as Doura Director General of Lonase, further proves his love for the region and his confidence in the youth of Koldoise. Doura Baldé, our facilitator in the union with our Candidate Amamadou Ba, is carrying out titanic work to form a bloc with all the living forces of Kolda and Senegal for the triumph in February 2024.

The appointment of Abdourahmane Baldé Doura at the head of Lonase aroused great hope in Kolda. We say thank you to President Macky Sall for the promotion of the sons of Fouladou

It is now a matter of working hand in hand for the future of Fouladou as a whole with the involvement of all layers and the collection of everyone’s opinions to better manage the concerns and emergencies of the moment, in the short and long term.

Dear Journalists, dear guests, we thank you for your kind attention and look forward to seeing you very soon for our activities on the ground across Senegal to bring Mr Amadou Ba to the head of the country.

Mr El Hadji Mohamed Lamine Seydi
National Coordinator Wato Sita Movement. »
