According to the Italian media the Gazzetta dello Sport, the French coach was dismissed by the management of Naples this Sunday, a few hours after a new setback in the championship. La Gazzetta indicates that at half-time of the match against Empoli (0-1), penultimate in Serie A, Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of the club, would not have greeted the French technician. He would have spoken to the players without even considering the coach.
Same scenario at the end of the meeting where the two men did not speak to each other. Above all, De Laurentiis has already started the search to find Garcia’s successor. Among the names cited by the Italian press: Antonio Conte, Fabio Cannavaro, Igor Tudor and Walter Mazzarri.
