Sandro Schwarz is apparently facing a new task as a coach in professional football. According to a report in the Bild newspaper, the former head coach of Hertha BSC and FSV Mainz o5 is set to take over the US club New York Red Bulls from Major League Soccer (MSL) this winter. Both parties agreed, it was said. The 45-year-old Schwarz, who took on his first position as head coach in the Bundesliga in his hometown of Mainz in 2017, was released from Berlin in April of this year.

Only a few days ago it became known that RB Leipzig’s sister club had already secured the services of long-time Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg. Also according to Bild, the 32-year-old Swede will move to New York this winter and receive a long-term contract there. Forsberg has been playing in Leipzig since January 2015 and has a contract there that runs until 2025.
