Rob Gray Returns to Second European Cup with Prometey After EuroCup Win

Winner of the EuroCup in 2021 with AS Monaco, Rob Gray will return to the second European Cup. Incandescent in BCL last year with Bursa, the former Roca Team sniper should join Prometey, who thanked Markus Keene and Rashard Kelly.

Became a legend in Monaco thanks to his buzzer beater during the EuroCup semi-final in Gran Canaria, Rob Gray (1.86 m, 29 years old) has not only had happy moments since. His following season in the Principality was an ordeal, sent to the end of the bench in Betclic ELITE and the EuroLeague, so much so that he left the club before the playoffs even started.

Relaunched in Turkey last year (18.2 points at 51%, 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists with Tofas Bursa), where he even finished top scorer in the Champions League (20 points on average), the former Bourg-en-Bresse and Levallois full-back nevertheless spent the summer, and a little more than that, waiting. An uncomfortable in-between is now over since the American is announced to Prometey, with a three-month contract at stake, or even more if his new club makes it past the first round of the EuroCup. A competition that he has already left his mark on, with his shot in Las Palmas, obviously, but above all with his MVP trophy for the final in 2021. Sluggish for the moment (3v-4d), the Ukrainian team has recently carried out a major facelift in its workforce, notably getting rid of two former residents of Betclic ÉLITE, Marcus Keene and Rashard Kelly.
