Retired Footballer Eden Hazard Takes Over Training at Son’s Club

Would it tickle Eden Hazard?

The former Red Devil announced his retirement as a professional footballer a month ago. Yet he does not seem to be able to leave the football field yet.

Last night Hazard appeared in his tracksuit at the Spanish third division club Rayo Majadahonda, the team of his son Yannis. Not to play football yourself, but to take over training.

“It was his own idea,” says youth coordinator Adrián Costa. “He said he found it fun, but also tiring. Eden said that at one point he was coaching with his tongue hanging out of his mouth.”

The youth team started with a passing and kicking form, moved on to some rondos and ball possession games and concluded with a match.

A normal workout, it seems. But the ex-footballer couldn’t avoid the extra attention. “It was an honor to have such a legend visit,” Costa testified. “We took a lot of pictures.”
