Illiers-Combray. New Breath at the Illiers-Combray Archery Club. The Combray Archers are reinventing themselves with a new office and invigorating ambitions for the future. Led by a newly elected committee, the club, with around twenty members, now displays a resolutely competitive orientation.
And the first will take place on Sunday, in Nogent-le-Rotrou. Five archers from the club are registered there, including Théo Lacabane, determined to shine during the regional championships. For Stella Lemay, it will be later since she wants to perfect her shot before launching into the competition.
Field shooting
The new office is made up of archery enthusiasts, who bring their experience and enthusiasm to guide the club. And this year, they want to focus on field shooting (a discipline which takes place on a multi-target course, on all types of terrain, Editor’s note), a discipline which differs from traditional target shooting and which was very popular with the club in the 90s, in its early days.
This orientation aims to revive interest in this practice, which is less common in the region.
Practical. The club offers four training slots per week for its members: Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Contact: 06.09.06.22.82 or [email protected]. Information on www.facebook.com/LesArchersduCombray.
