Despite major personnel problems, Tottenham had actually already solved the mandatory task in Wolverhampton. But then stoppage time began, which resulted in the second defeat in a row. Arsenal FC took advantage of their chance and moved past the table again with a home win.

In the English Premier League, the football club Tottenham Hotspur, which was plagued by failures, missed out on reaching the top of the table and suffered a bitter away defeat. The Spurs, who were missing several regular players due to injuries and red card suspensions, lost 2-1 (1-0) at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday after conceding two late goals. Shortly afterwards they were overtaken by local rivals Arsenal FC, who beat Burnley FC 3-1 (1-0). Manchester United shuddered to a 1-0 (0-0) draw against newly promoted Luton Town.

Pablo Sarabia (90+1) and Mario Lemina (90+7) scored in stoppage time to give Wolverhampton a home win. Brennan Johnson had already given the visitors from London the lead in the third minute. Shortly after Heung-Min Son gave Spurs a possible decision, Sarabia scored a deserved equalizer before Lemina turned the game on its head.
