PMU – Arrival of the quinté on Friday, November 17 at Paris-Vincennes: Bahia Del Circeo makes an impression

Arrival of the quinté: 9 – 1 – 6 – 3 – 11

What a home stretch! While the mare Bahia Del Circeo (n° 9) was clearly behind at the start of the final straight, she closed the gap on all her competitors to win at the end of an absolutely stunning sprint. Also author of a remarkable end to the race, the gelding Santos de Castella (n° 1) made the difference at the rope to take over the favorite, Hymne du Gers (n° 6), who made the race in lead from the start before failing in third place.

This is the fifth victory for the mare, trained by Vitale Ciotola, on the Paris-Vincennes racecourse, the fourth on this course, and the first in an event race. At the finish, her driver Franck Nivard could not hide his satisfaction at the Equidia microphone: “It’s really her journey, she likes selective races. She is a mare who tends to pull a little, she is better on speed courses. I was a little far away, but when I pulled away, I felt that she was coming well. Up front, it wasn’t going any better than that so I felt at the start of the straight that I was going to win, even if I still had to fight. »

Hippomène Quesnot (No. 3) and Boccadamo (No. 11) complete the good combination.
