THE NEWS – The red and whites started well, with a fluid maneuver, good defensive intensity and concrete offensive solutions: Benedettini and his teammates closed the first quarter on 16-11, giving hope to the fans who flocked to the Signorini gym in Via Betti. In the second period the more experienced guests make up for it, but Zari’s girls, despite giving up a few metres, remain firmly in the game, going to rest on the 23-25. The turning point occurs upon returning to the parquet, with the hosts remaining in the changing rooms: lost balls, easy wrong conclusions, and a poor defensive approach are the basis of the 10-1 with which the guests change the face of the match, which stands at 24-35 at the end of the third set. In fact, the recovery of the Pisa Women’s Basketball in the quarter was of no avail: the red and whites, in fact, despite nibbling away at the opponent’s advantage, were unable to reach Prato, who made use of their greater experience, deservedly closing the match.
