Philadelphia 76ers Dominate Phoenix Suns for Fourth Win of the NBA Season

With their fourth win in their fifth game, the Philadelphia 76ers underlined their strong NBA start to the season – in contrast to the Phoenix Suns.

In the duel between two championship contenders, the Philadelphia 76ers have the upper hand in the NBA. The team led by reigning MVP Joel Embiid prevailed against the Phoenix Suns with 112:100 (52:45) and moved up to second place in the East thanks to their fourth win in the fifth game. For the Suns, who started the season ambitiously, it was the next disappointment.

The defeat was the third in a row and the fourth overall in the sixth appearance for Phoenix, in which Kevin Durant, in particular, defended himself against the negative trend with 31 points and eight rebounds – but ultimately was unable to compensate for the renewed failure of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. The Suns, who remain in the bottom of the Western Conference table, had previously lost twice during the week against the San Antonio Spurs led by France’s top talent Victor Wembanyama.

On the Sixers’ side, Embiid was once again convincing, the center collecting 26 points and eleven rebounds. He received support in particular from Kelly Oubre Jr. (25 points) and playmaker Tyrese Maxey, who contributed 22 points and ten assists.
