“The transfer from Pelligra Holding Italia intended for Pallacanestro Varese to comply with the sponsorship contract signed in July between the “local” branch of the Australian real estate company and the red and white company has reached its destination. After a first tranche of 80 thousand euros arrived in recent days, the remaining part of the fee (150 thousand euros plus VAT) would also be paid into the club’s coffers. Good news from a financial point of view (also because these funds were already included in the seasonal budget) which brings the two parties closer together, between whom there was an agreement for the entry of Australian investors into the share capital.
Certainly, at this point, the Pelligra brand will be part of the bouquet of logos present in the arena and in the other agreed locations.
Will this step forward be enough to completely reopen the path towards the purchase of 45% of the shares of Pallacanestro Varese? We’ll see, and at the moment it’s difficult to make predictions.
Last October 30th, the Pelligra Group’s press release confirmed its desire to respect the agreements by the end of the year: however, it involves two million euros and up to this point the agreed deadlines have slipped”.
