SC Heerenveen won 5-1 against VVV-Venlo in the KNVB Cup on Tuesday evening in the Abe Lenstra Stadium. Pelle van Amersfoort is still the ‘occasional striker’ of the Frisians, but scored a hat-trick against the Limburgers.
Trainer Kees van Wonderen is full of praise for the midfielder and attacker. “That is super nice of course,” Van Wonderen says about Van Amersfoort’s hat trick Omrop Fryslân. “It is a kind of confirmation for the work and effort he puts in for the team. Then you are also rewarded with the goals.”
Daniel Karlsbakk also managed to score. The young striker has only managed to score twice in all competitions this season, although he does not often get the chance. Van Wonderen: “That goal is great for him and great for his confidence. A goal is super important for your feeling.”
“You also want to be successful and be of value. A goal also gives that good feeling to keep working even harder than you already are, and to maintain an upward trend,” concludes Kees van Wonderen.
