Orlando Magic’s Dominant Win Over Boston Celtics Extends Winning Streak

The Boston Celtics are in Orlando without Jrue Holiday, but that’s not a good enough excuse to justify the beating they received at the Amway Center. In the match valid for the In-Season Tournament, Paolo Banchero and his teammates won their sixth victory in a row, beating the Celtics 96-113. With this victory, the Magic (11-5) extended their winning streak to six and moved to 3-1 in the In-Season Tournament round. Boston (12-4) is 2-1 in the In-Season Tournament and will close out Eastern Conference Group C by hosting the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday at TD Garden.

After a first half that closed at 56-48, +8, Boston collapsed in the second half. Moe Wagner takes the lead and scores 24 of his 27 total points in the second half of the game. Paolo Banchero added 23 points in the win with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Orlando trailed by 12 in the third quarter, but responded with a 17-0 run to take a 67-62 lead. The Magic outscored the Celtics 29-18 in the third quarter and went into the fourth quarter leading 77-74. The home team started the last half with a 10-0 run, reaching +13 and closing the match. Moe Wagner scored 13 points in the fourth quarter.
