OM Intervenes: Marseille Supporters Deprived of Travel to Strasbourg

Saturday November 25, on the occasion of the 13th day of Ligue 1, Olympique de Marseille travels to the pitch of Racing Club de Strasbourg. A prefectural decree nevertheless prevents the movement of Marseille supporters 100%.

Remaining three games without a victory in Ligue 1, OM absolutely want to return to success. The club from the Marseille city is only 10th in the championship. A ranking that does not live up to the demands and ambitions of Marseille. Faced with Strasbourg, 15th and struggling to maintain its position, Marseille will not be able to fully count on the support of its supporters. Following the incidents linked to the stopped match between OL and OM, the LFP fears excesses during the meetings of the club led by Gennaro Gattuso. It is with this in mind that Olympian fans will not be able to travel en masse to the Meinau stadium. Only 100 places are allocated to groups of OM supporters. Karim Attab reports that Marseille will refer the matter to the Strasbourg Administrative Court.

Supporters deprived of travel to Meinau, OM intervenes

“OM will submit a request to the Strasbourg Administrative Court to contest the prefectural decree concerning the limitation of the number of Olympian supporters (100 places) during Saturday’s match. This is a summary procedure, that is to say urgent. OM joins forces with the groups, as a form of support. Marseillais supporters came in large numbers this season without any incident like in Lens where there were more than 1000, 100 places is too few” assured the journalist from Maritima Médias who explains that OM will do everything to ensure that part of its public is present to encourage it against Strasbourg. Marseille must regain confidence, particularly in view of the end of the Europa League group stage, where the Marseillais are on track but not yet qualified. A victory against Strasbourg would be very important at this stage of the season.
