As coach Gerhard Struber announced, Salzburg decided not to do much rotation. Mirko Kos, who once again guarded the Vienna goal in the cup instead of the nominal number one Christian Früchtl, was able to rely on the people in front of him even after the change. Although the Klagenfurt team increased the number of hits, the Vienna defense usually intercepted the attacks as they developed.
Klagenfurt too harmless
