Recently, the world number 1 spoke with part of the Spanish press including the daily Brand who asked him several questions about Rafael Nadal who will make his comeback to competition in 2024. Here is one of them.
Question : “If someone comes to you with a piece of paper and says: if you play until you are 50, you will match or beat Nadal’s titles at Roland Garros, will you sign it? »
Novak Djokovic : “I don’t know, I’m not sure my wife would be very happy.” I am very satisfied with everything I have accomplished. I don’t need to look at Rafa’s record in Paris. I am very proud of mine which is part of history. If I were to retire now, I could only be happy and proud of what I have done. »
