Nicolas Cordova made his first big decision as interim coach of The Red: urgently summon another footballer for the duel with Ecuador.
This was made official this Saturday by the Communications Management of the Chilean Football Federation, through of a statement.
“It is reported that the Technical Body of the Chilean National Team summoned the player from Spanish Union, Jonathan Villagra for the match that will be played in Quito on Tuesday, November 21 against Ecuador.”
Villagra was one of the high points of La Roja Sub23 in the Santiago 2023 Pan American Gamesa campaign that ended with a silver medal.
Let us remember that Córdova assumed his interim position last Friday and, just 24 hours later, he made this emergency call in advance of the momentous commitment in Quito.
Ecuador and Chile meet this Tuesday, from 8:30 p.m.in the Ecuadorian capital.
